Day 19. 30.8.20 Quilpie

Had a ride around Eromanga town before heading out to the natural history museum to check out the dinosaur bones. Managed to snap my rear brake cable but the front one works so alls good.

Lots of old relics around.

A dinosaur family made from 1km of steel tubes.
At the museum ⬇  Cooper the dinosaur leg bones.
Jaw of a dipotodron with another dinosaur bone in it.
Showing us how the fossils are removed from the mud.
Zac's tail bones.

Each bundle contains fossil bones and is about 10 years work to reveal the bone.

Coopers toes.

Pic to show size relativity.

Looking inside the bone of a dinosaur.
What Cooper would look like if he was alive.
On the road again.
Campground at the lake 7kms from Quilpie.
The view behind us,
And in front of us.
Lots of lovely, big, old trees around.
Sunset from the happy hour camp fire, where we had drinks and damper with about 30 others.

Today we traveled about 115kms, including being misled by wikicamps 😆. Our total towed is now 2222kms!

Apart from the wind the weather has been perfect. Lovely and warm.

Think I have finally caught up on the blog and it's time for bed 😪😴

Stats

Stats for my own benefit.  Lots of bakeries, cafes, pubs etc were visited as we did our bit to help support Queenslanders.  We gained 2 dog...
