Went for a ride before packing up and moving on to Lara Wetlands, just south of Barcaldine.
The Stockmans Hall of Fame.
Drover
Pioneer woman
It was hard going riding uphill into the wind but the return ride was lovely despite Gunther getting a flat tyre.
Being chased by a barbed wire emu.
We are back on previously traveled roads. Planning on stopping in Ilfracombe and Barcaldine.
Ilfracombe has a 'mile of machinery' which we have seen twice before. So we are having a morning tea break in the park opposite the pub we stayed at last time we were here. The wind is relentless. There are lots of caravans here and a lot have driven through. Very busy area.
Lone pine tree.
Big truck compared too our baby.Bougainvilles.
So many colours.
The scenery today.
Gunther getting into the Thongaphone.
Finally at Lara Wetlands. Over 120 different species of birds. The lake is only knee deep at the deepest part. The view from our camp spot was beautiful.

Kayaking on the lake.
Set up my coffee shop.
Thermal pool. 38°c
Lots of dead trees.
Today we traveled 147kms.
